Creating Program Shortcuts on your Desktop

You can create icons on your desktop to open programs.  To do this, you locate the icon for the program in your menu, right-click, and select ‘send to (create shortcut)’.

    This was cool. I’ve never seen Tech Tuesday before. For those of us who are technology challenged, this kind of quick, easy to follow tutorial on basic information is very valuable. I used the video to install the calculator on my desktop.

    If you do another like this, how do you get the icons at the bottom of your screen? How can you remove them? They’re on a bar to the right of the start button.
